6 WAYS TO LISTEN TO YOUR INNER VOICE

1. Heed Your Emotions:

Your inner voice can express itself in various ways, and it often comes through as emotions when ignored. These emotions serve as a feedback loop for your inner voice, and sometimes they are your response to disregarding it, leading to trouble.

2. Pay Attention to the Rhythms of Your Inner Guidance:

Indeed, your inner voice follows certain rhythms. By tuning into it and reviewing your past decisions, you’ll grasp its tone and the consistent messages it conveys.

After gathering and analyzing data on your past decisions, you’ll see how your intuition has guided you through difficult choices, helping you evade problems, or even safeguarded your best interests (regardless of the challenges you were facing). This will demonstrate the wisdom and foresight of your intuition—providing all the evidence you need to trust your inner voice without doubt.

3. Master Your Mind:

Overthinking is a result of attempting to cognitively interpret all that you encounter. It’s natural to seek logical or rational explanations for things, as we’re conditioned to do so.

However, this can distract us from heeding our inner voice. In the ongoing struggle between rational thought and intuition, your fears and thoughts can generate confusion. But by learning to handle everything calmly, you can empower your inner voice to become more assertive and audible. This will assist you in accepting that you are separate from your thoughts.

4. Seek Solitude:

Life is bustling, and distractions are everywhere. The more you carve out time free from these distractions, the more pronounced your inner voice becomes.

You can find this solitude through meditation, yoga, physical exercise, or spending time in nature. The goal is to eliminate distractions and provide space to sift through your thoughts.

5. Try the Coin Toss:

It might seem unconventional, but stay with me. If the guidance from your intuition isn’t aligning with your expectations, maybe surrendering the decision-making to chance will give you a direction to act upon.

To follow serendipity rather than a predetermined path. If you’ve ever tossed a coin, you’re likely expecting it to make the decision for you.

However, you’ll often find yourself going against the coin’s indication. This is because the other option is the logical choice, and deep within, you recognize it. So, if you’re feeling stuck, a coin toss might just be the catalyst you need to spur you into action.

6. Take a moment to pause and breathe into it:

If you need to make a decision at the moment but can’t figure out what to do, try doing an easy breathwork exercise.

You simply breathe in through your nose for four counts, hold for seven counts, and then exhale out of your mouth for eight counts. You can take three of these breaths and then just sit in that space.

You can also use your hands to help you connect even deeper. Just put your left hand on your stomach and your right hand on your heart. The left side will represent the feminine aspect so it allows you to connect to your gut and intuition.

Your right hand is associated with logic and the mind. So when you bring the right hand to the heart, it connects you to what is your Truth.

Pondering on our findings, it’s evident that our inner voice holds significant importance in our lives. However, it often gets overlooked. This leads us to question – what if we paid heed to our inner voices for every decision we need to make, every action we need to perform, and in all aspects of life?

What opportunities would open up for us? What concealed strengths would we discover within ourselves? And maybe, we might even uncover the common thread that binds us all, hidden deep within us.
